The Thermal Debut

The Thermal Imaging Drone had its first debut on Traeth Lligwy. There are twelve spectrum settings, temperature reading features, zoom capabilities, a loudspeaker for help in search and rescue, live footage sharing and a long list of more advanced and exciting features to support in incidents and other projects.

On the debut on Traeth Lligwy we discovered an algal bloom in the Afon Lligwy, shown here as a pale green next to the darker in the water.

The drone also located two 'hiding' persons of interest in our exercise, able to maneuver, zoom and detect the persons under the bridge or in the scrub.
