We took out the standard imaging drone to Parys Mountain to practice using the drone and its imaging over difficult or inaccessible terrain. Next time we're out we will try some volunteers to search for and get a good idea how well this little drone is able to find them.
We were able to utilize the drone to get a sneaky look at an inaccessible cave, looking down into the depths as if we were searching for a missing person or pet. In an event of a missing person on site and an uncertainty around whether or not someone has gone into the cave by accident or while exploring, the drone can cover that section in seconds without the need for safety equipment or risking the lives of rescuers in a search. Confirming the site is clear in just seconds worth of footage, saving time, money, resources and speeding up the rescue process to save lives.
